The Washington County Thriving in Place Initiative (TiP) is developing a “caregiver basics” training for family or other informal caregivers to learn some basic skills to help with the physical/medical aspects of providing care to a person with an injury, chronic illness, or in frail condition. The trainer will be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – a professional caregiver who routinely works with physically frail and injured people. This training was specifically requested on several occasions by participants at TiP events who are caring for their family or friends. We need your help to ensure that the content matches the needs of informal caregivers and will be offered at times caregivers could attend.
