Cultural Competency Training

This is a FREE, four-hour training on Cultural Competency presented by Elizabeth (“Liz”) Neptune and sponsored by the Community Caring Collaborative in the Assembly Room at Washington County Community College in Calais.
This training is geared for Family Futures Downeast staff and partner agencies, medical providers, mental health and social service providers, school guidance counselors, law enforcement, and anyone working with families in Washington County. The primary goal of this training is to increase or enhance individual cultural competence. This will be accomplished by examining several elements of cultural competency including awareness, knowledge, attitudes and assumptions. There will be significant emphasis on honoring diversity and cultural differences. Download the Cultural Competency Flyer 2017 to post in your office.
Morning refreshments will be provided. Participants will receive contact hour certificates from the CCC (no fee), and Continuing Education Units (0.4) from WCCC will be available for a $10 fee (bring cash, check or money order payable to Washington County Community College). Registration is closed for this training.
