Hospice Volunteers Cobscook Bay Race Challenge
Down East Hospice Volunteers of Washington County will be having our 31st Anniversary Cobscook Bay Race. We have a 10K/5K event for runners & walkers and a 1 mile Fun Run for 10 years old and under. There will be three options to participate in 2022:
- Virtually;
- In person on the marked run at any time; and
- In person on the race day – June 5, 2022 in Pembroke.
Register to participate as a runner or walker. As of this date we will be having a post race picnic after the awards are given out (this could change so check back). Sponsor categories: Platinum – $1000 + Gold – $500 – $999 Silver – $250 – $499 Bronze – $100 – $249. Please make your donation check out to: Down East Hospice – Race 2022 and mail to: Down East Hospice, 24 Hospital Lane, Calais, Me. 04619 Att: Race 2022. When you donate to this event an acknowledgment will appear on our commemorative race t-shirts. You can donate in memory or or in honor of someone, you can have your name or your company’s name, or you can choose to not have an acknowledgment. 4-H Agriculture Symposium
University of Maine Cooperative Extension 4-H is offering an agricultural symposium for Maine teens April 18–19. The 4-H Agriculture Symposium is an overnight experience for Maine youth ages 14–18. Participants will take part in hands-on learning opportunities, engage with industry professionals on the UMaine and University of Maine at Augusta-Bangor campuses, develop leadership skills and make friendships with teens from throughout the state. Current 4-H membership is not required. Assistance with transportation can be provided upon request. The program is free; registration is required. Register on the program webpage. Current CDC and University of Maine health guidelines will be followed for all in-person events.
