NextStep Domestic Violence Project is hiring a Youth Educator/Advocate with the dual goal of working to prevent domestic violence and working to change the cultural conditions that allow it to occur. This position has the responsibility of delivering NextStep’s school-based youth education programming to youth ages K-College, primarily in Hancock County and occasionally in Washington County; developing and maintaining relationships with educators in Hancock County; and informing the development of new materials and approaches, including radio and podcasting programs. The Youth Educator/Advocate will also engage in direct service to adult and young adult survivors of domestic violence. Learn more here.
NextStep is also still seeking an Operations Manager who has a deep commitment to social justice and who shares our belief that everyone has a right to live in safety, without fear of abuse. Advisory: Peer Support Services in Crisis Care — discusses the role of peer support workers and models of peer support services that are available to assist individuals who are experiencing a crisis. Peer support services are a vital component of crisis care.
World Carers Conversation returned May 19, 2022 as a global, virtual event with the support of EMD Serono and Embracing Carers. Innovators, researchers, policymakers and carer advocates from around the globe learned about advancements in the field, got inspired, and made connections that matter for the future of carers everywhere.
