New this week:
OK Play’s (formerly Bold Coast Adventure Play) Play Fair is coming to Bad Little Falls, Machias, on April 8th. This is going to be a unique & much needed celebration for the youth in our community. See flyer and Facebook event for details. If you are interested in volunteering for all or a portion of the fair, please reach out to Blair Hudson at your earliest convenience. We could still use about 2 or 3 volunteers.
Register here for the April 25th & 27th for the 2023 Tri-State Learning Collaborative on Aging Spring Summit, Age Positive Culture: A Public Health Imperative. This will be a virtual event from 8:45 am — 12:45 pm. We will bring together public health and aging network leaders to explore how we can work collaboratively to embed age positivity into the public health framework. We’ll examine how unconscious age bias impacts quality of life and health outcomes, what role public health messaging and initiatives can play in changing the narrative around aging positively, and how we can collaborate to catalyze meaningful culture change. As people continue to live longer, it’s time to evolve our narrative about what it means to grow older, and take bold steps to create an age positive culture that values, supports and includes each of us through our full lifespan.
- External (Marketing, outreach, communications, etc.),
- Internal (Operations, financials, HR, etc.),
- Personal (Self-care as a business owner).
We’ll discuss together in small and large groups how to define what a “healthy” business means to us as business owners and identify what action steps you may want to take individually between Check-Ups. This will be a supportive and engaging time together to learn, discover, and build the strength of our businesses. We are delighted to be joined once again by Marsha Dunn, Graphic Facilitator who will visually capture the conversations. Register HERE to receive the ZOOM invite.
