Honey Beer for Hospice is a special limited brew created by the Lubec Brewing Company with proceeds to benefit Down East Hospice Volunteers of Washington County.  Thanks to generous people like Gale White and McKinley Jones, owners of the Lubec Brewing Company, and Arlen and Mark Wren of Robbinston who provide the honey for this special beer.  You can enjoy this brew until it’s gone while supporting DEHV.  For information about DEHV free services and to become a hospice volunteer call 454-7521 ext. 9126 or email downeasthospice@yahoo.com.

Digital Skills Classes – Using Facebook Securely

The Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center is excited to be partnering with the Digital Equity Center to bring digital skills classes to Washington County at our 163 Baileyville Cancer Center. These free classes are open to the general public. Come join us on Tuesday, August 13 @ 9:30 am – 10:30 am, to learn how to use Facebook more securely, how to understand all privacy options, and how to change privacy options so the information you share on Facebook is only available to those you wish to see it.  Requirements for this class:  A device connected to the internet and a Facebook account.  Please use this link to sign up for the class, or call 207-610-5152, or email infor@bethwrightcancercenter.org.  Please use Digital Skills Class in the subject line of the email.


Two Great Auctions to Benefit
Incredible Edible Milbridge & Milbridge Commons

Women for Healthy Rural Living (WHRL) announces its biggest Milbridge Days Auctions ever. There will be two concurrently running auctions–an online silent auction and an in-person raffle auction. This event raises funds to support critical community health programs, including Incredible Edible Milbridge and Milbridge Commons Wellness Park (download a flyer to share).


 Music, Fun, and Giving Back at Blue Hill Park

Get ready for an evening of family-friendly fun and philanthropy! Join us on July 22nd in Blue Hill Park (rain venue: GSA Cafeteria) for a night of music, dancing, and community spirit, all to support Families First Community Center and Healthy Peninsula. August Biz Fit: Open Space

August 2nd, 8-9 am: “Open Space” is a format for meeting and taking responsibility for what you want to learn or share about topics that mean something to YOU. We will take a short time at the beginning of Biz Fit to air the topics of interest for the hour. There are Four Open Space Principles and One Law which serve as guides for all participants. The only LAW is the Law of Two Feet; each person has the opportunity to move from (ZOOM) room to room to be sure you are getting what you need in the session!  Come join us for some Open Space time and bring your knowledge or curiosities to share.* You don’t have to be an expert to share!  REGISTER TODAY!  Join us to share, to listen, to learn in this safe forum for conversation.
