The Office of Affordable Health Care (OAHC) is partnering with United States of Care to hear directly from people on how health care affordability shapes their everyday lives. Kate McClellan is reaching out for assistance to recruit 6-18 Maine residents (between ages of 18-64) living or working or willing to travel to the Machias area who are willing to speak to us about their experiences affording their health care. The listening session is October 29th, 5:30 — 7:30 pm at the University of Maine, Machias. Participants should come ready to share their health care experiences in a group setting during a 2 hour facilitated discussion and will receive a $75 Mastercard Gift Card upon completion of the session. University of Maine Cooperative Extension will host a two-part online informational session for adults interested in becoming Maine 4-H volunteers from 6-7 pm on November 12 and 19. “Start Your 4-H Volunteer Journey” will provide participants with information about the UMaine Extension 4-H youth development program through four short e-Learning modules. Attendees will also participate in an experiential educational activity, learn about the key aspects of positive youth development and be introduced to the ages and stages of youth.
